Tom and I have been attending events and meetups like crazy lately. We want to meet anyone interested in robots, makers, hackers, and programmers. Here’s some of our upcoming and past events:
Upcoming Events: PCH Hackathon (June 12th – 14 as Mentors) MIT Startup Spotlight (June 15th) Devens Robotica 2015 (June 16-17 – Technology Pitch) Hamilton Mini Maker Faire 2015 (June 21st) Toronto Maker Festival 2015 (Aug 1st & Aug 2nd) Waterloo Maker Expo 2015(Sept 19th)
Past Events: In the last few weeks here’s what we’ve been up to:
PCH Hardware Meetup The PCH Hardware Meetup KW was a gathering of hardware builders, makers and lots of students from the KW, Guelph & Toronto area. It was great to meet everyone and grow the number of supporters around the Redtree Hydra.
UW EntSoc Startup Showcase: The UW EntSoc Startup Showcase was a great event put on by the UW Entrepreneurial Society. It was great to generate interest from potential co-ops to fill some of the roles we will require in the near future. There was also lots of interest from mech. eng students who build robots in hearing more about the Redtree Hydra.
KW ProductHunt Meetup: The KW Product Hunt Meetup was hosted by Videostream and was a great event. We were one of the companies showing off what we’ve been working on.
Hakerspaces & MakerSpaces: At the same time, Tom was out in Western Canada visiting with Hacker/Makerspaces like MakerLabs:
If you have a Hacker/Makerspace or go to one, we’d love to chat – drop us a line in the comments.
We were also at Collision Conference a little while ago, and an interview we did was posted:
And finally, we were at the KW Hackernest Event at Boltmade on June 8th:
